Small Groups Ministry

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
Acts 2: 42

Let's face it, while Sunday mornings are a great time to connect with God, it is often a difficult time to really connect with other people. We believe that intentional relationships are vital to sustained spiritual growth which is why we place such an emphasis on community groups here at Mountain View.  We offer adults several different small group options which are described below. For more information on our small groups ministry or if you need to know how to join a group, contact Ron Mayne at rmayne@mvfchurch.com or 435-671-7337.

Community Groups

Community Groups are small groups of 6-12 people who meet regularly for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. They are for people of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.

We feel that this is the best place for sustained life change to occur. Real life issues are discussed in this environment. This is the place where we can celebrate successes in life together, comfort on another in difficult times, and be challenged to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Starting Point

What Is Starting Point?
  • A conversational small group environment where people can explore faith and experience community.
  • An ideal setting for people with questions about faith as well as those who want to learn more about the Bible and Christianity.
  • A non-threatening small group where your opinions and beliefs will be valued.

Who Is Starting Point For?

  • People who are reconnecting with God after being away from church for a while.
  • People who are not sure about God or the Bible and want a safe place to discuss spiritual issues.
  • People who have recently started a relationship with God.

Adult Bible Studies

Mountain View offers multiple adult Bible studies throughout the year that meet at various times and locations. If you have a desire to dig deeper into God's word we offer a variety of topical studies.
